Join Lillie May Carroll Jackson Charter School for Girls in Accra, Ghana, July 12 to 20, 2027. Our Dance G.E.M.S. scholars will perform two original dances and lead a student-taught session at the GhaLLA International Educators Summit (July 15 to 17). The week includes the summit, day trips to Accra and Cape Coast (with an optional third trip to Akosombo), and the whole Lillie May village of family, staff, board, and community traveling together.

Every scholar travels with a parent or guardian. Any Lillie May scholar may travel with her family; the performance group is selected from the scholars who are going. Choose the package that matches your room arrangement. Booking requires a $100 deposit, due by September 30, 2026. The balance is billed in eight equal monthly payments on the 30th, from October 30, 2026 through May 30, 2027 (February 28), charged automatically to the card on file. Bank transfer is free; card payments carry a 2.9% processing fee. If you book after a payment date has passed, those payments are collected at checkout. The $100 deposit is non-refundable. Later payments are refundable only to the extent Girls Charter School, Inc. can recover them from the airline, hotel, and vendors. Fundraising is applied as credits, first to scholars, then to their traveling parents, and reduces the remaining payments.

How to book: make one booking for everyone in your party. Under Select Package, choose 1 of the packages for each traveler, then continue. The checkout asks for each traveler’s name and details.

Examples: two parents with one scholar of any age select 3 Family room of 3. One parent with one scholar 12 or older selects 1 Scholar 12+ and 1 Adult, sharing. Two parents with two scholars under 12 select 4 Family room of 4. An adult traveling alone selects 1 Adult, single room, or 1 Adult, sharing if you have a roommate.
